Job Description
Occupational Therapist– Peadiatric&Adult. Full‑time or part‑time. Conduct community visits to assess abilities and needs of individuals, while working with multidisciplinary teams and equipment vendors. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare workers and other community resources. Analyze the physical, cultural, social, and institutional environmental impacts on occupational performance and engagement issues. Develop client‑centered plans with clients and inter‑professional teams, adjusting services to reflect a client‑centered approach related to the physical, social, cultural, institutional, and economic environments.Demonstrate evidence‑based problem solving and judgement to address client needs. Engage clients using a collaborative approach, building rapport and trust, and achieving mutual understanding and agreement regarding services to be provided. Maintain knowledge, skills, and attitudes to provide safe, efficient, and effective service, staying abreast of practice setting changes that affect scope of practice.Maintain professional client records related to client encounters and plans in compliance with ParaMed policies and relevant regulatory standards. Qualifications
Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists in good standing. Acceptance of new graduates, licensed adults, and ADP authorization preferred. Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families.Current certification (within the past 12 months) of First Aid and CPR. Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle access. Ability to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) record. Benefits
