Therapeutic Recreation Assistant in London

Support therapeutic recreation initiatives as a full-time Assistant in London. Join the Early Childhood, School Age, and Adolescent Program and work with diverse clients and families.

This full-time (37.5 hours/week) role is temporary, beginning in July 2026 and ending in January 2028. You will assist Recreation Therapists with planning and delivering therapeutic recreation interventions, and support client goals both individually and in groups. Engagement with families and community events is key, ensuring everyone participates and feels included.

Key Responsibilities:• Assist in planning and evaluating Therapeutic Recreation interventions • Support individual and group interventions to achieve client goals • Provide family engagement and education at various events • Facilitate programming in the Adapted Fitness Centre • Coach community recreationproviders on inclusive participation

Requirements:• Post-secondary diploma in Recreation Therapy or related field • Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard certification preferred • Knowledge of child development and disabilities • Communication and organizational skills • Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
