Overview

Permanent Full Time. We’re hiring a Talent Acquisition Advisor. This position is intended as a full‑time permanent role. Depending on evolving business needs and approvals, it may also be offered as a full‑time temporary assignment. Responsibilities

Work under the Manager, Talent Acquisition, supporting the Canada Life Corporate Function Talent Acquisition team and managing the full‑cycle recruitment process for Canada Life. Develop recruitment plans with hiring leaders, source top talent, assess and select candidates, and coach junior team members on best practices, policies, procedures, and standards in line with the company’s vision and goals.Act as a trusted advisor and partner to the business, collaborating on hiring strategies and executing them creatively. Create, develop, and deliver talent acquisition solutions to source, attract, and hire the best talent, meeting business needs and diversity practices. Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners to engage with business leaders, understand recruitment needs, and develop effective strategies.Tap into pipelines of talent through external organizations, associations, universities, and colleges, aligning with established strategies. Proactively source candidates via social networks, recruitment portals, and other tools; build and maintain a network of potential candidates through market research and ongoing relationship management.Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders, educating stakeholders on the recruitment process, interview techniques, and selection criteria, while managing flow and quality of candidates. Qualifications

5+ years as an HR professional with a concentration in Talent Acquisition. Experience supporting sales or wholesaling portfolios is a strong asset. Post‑secondary degree or diploma in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Ability to manage a high volume of recruitment activity for a wide variety of complex positions.Experience in candidate generation through passive sourcing, referral campaigns, and resume database mining. Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter is a solid asset. Experience building effective and innovative talent sourcing strategies. Expertise in Applicant Tracking Systems is required; familiarity with Success Factors is an asset.Bilingualism is an asset (fluent in French and English) and required for Quebec, where the position regularly serves French‑ and English‑speaking clients. Base salary only; no additional variable compensation components such as annual bonus or commission are included in the base figure.
