About the Company Our client, a respected law firm located in Montreal, is seeking a Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a hybrid remote work arrangement within a collaborative and fast-paced litigation practice. Responsibilities - Prepare, draft, and revise litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and correspondence - Assist lawyers with all stages of litigation, from file opening through to trial preparation - Manage calendars, court dates, discoveries, and critical deadlines - Coordinate court filings and service of legal documents - Organize and maintain physical and electronic litigation files - Prepare briefs, motion records, and trial materials - Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and third parties in both English and French - Handle billing, time entry, and docketing - Monitor limitation periods and ensure compliance with procedural timelines - Provide administrative and clerical support to the litigation team as required Requirements - 3+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant - Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma/certificate from a recognized institution is considered an asset - Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and Quebec court rules - Experience with electronic court filings and legal document management systems - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French - Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities - Professional, client-focused attitude with solid interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Compensation - Competitive salary up to $80,000, commensurate with experience - Comprehensive benefits package - Hybrid remote work arrangement - Supportive and collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional development and growth We do not use AI to screen candidates.
