Pratt & Whitney Canada Internship – Additive Manufacturing Dates of internship: August 31st – December 18th, 2026. Location: Longueuil, Quebec (on‑site). The candidate will be an active member of the Research and Technology team responsible for deploying additive manufacturing (AM) in commercial engine production. The role involves collaboration with designers, analysts, manufacturing engineers, material engineers, and process specialists, working in an interactive office environment with full support from senior engineers. The team is dynamic, agile, and focuses on delivering high‑value projects. Flexible working hours are available; remote work is an option. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities The position is within the Additive Manufacturing team under the Product Technology department, leading the progression of AM technology projects. The candidate will deploy knowledge, tools, systems, and controls to integrate AM‑produced parts into engines. Responsibilities are grouped into the following areas: 1. Technology Project Management – coordinate execution of multiple AM projects; create business cases; validate costing tools; produce communication documents for executives; plan and deliver training programs. 2. Material Development – develop material characterization plans, coordinate mechanical testing, analyze test data, and produce material testing reports. 3. Design – evaluate parts for AM manufacturability; propose and document design changes; create and document AM design best practices; develop training documents; support designers. 4. Strategic Deployment – participate in coordination and documentation of strategic plans, create technology awareness material, and present to executives. Qualifications and Requirements 1. Eligible to work in Canada. 2. Enrolled in a Canadian university for the entire internship period. 3. Ability to work on‑site in the province of hiring (if applicable). 4. Proficient in 3D modelling, ideally with CATIA. 5. Experience in designing and manufacturing AM parts. 6. Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, casting, etc.). 7. Basic metallurgy knowledge. 8. Bilingual French/English in oral and written communication. 9. Strong clear communication skills. 10. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 11.
