Responsibilities
Help design the electrical systems associated with projects
Responsible for the function and safety of the electrical systems associated with their project(s)
Work with other members of a multi-disciplinary team
Collaborate with global teams on projects
Assist in the development of the scope of assigned projects
Aid in any other electrical design work done as part of assigned projects
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes
Prepare and review technical documentation: Circuit diagrams, schematics, reports, drawing packages, simulations, etc
Identify opportunities for process and design improvement/optimization
Plan for and execute testing and commissioning of the systems created as part of assigned projects
Help with the integration of various systems, ensuring compatibility, efficiency, and reliability across the entire system
Knowledge and Experience
2+ years of related industry experience
Experience with functional safety application design and development under standards such as IEC EN 61508 and ISO 13849
In-depth knowledge of integrating battery systems, electric drivetrains, power electronics, thermal management, and other components to create a fully functional system
Knowledge of various communication protocols such as CAN and Ethernet
In-depth understanding of Electrical engineering principles
Good understanding of hardware and software systems simulations using tools such as MATLAB and Simulink
Skills and Abilities
Good understanding of functional safety
Strong mathematical and problem‑solving abilities
A good understanding of programming logic and how it controls mechatronic systems
Good written and verbal communication skills
Logical and methodical approach to problem‑solving
Meticulous attention to detail
Friendly disposition, works well with people of various backgrounds, skillsets, demeanors, and positions
An ability and desire to push the boundaries of themselves and our industry daily
Ability to perform general assembly and wiring
