Job Title: Logistic Instructor Location: Canadian Aviation College – Overseas Partnership Program, China About the Role Canadian Aviation College (BC, Canada) is seeking a qualified and experienced Logistics Instructor specializing in Air Freight to to join our overseas partnership educational program in China as a full-time instructor deliver high-quality instruction to students pursuing careers in logistics, supply chain management, freight forwarding, and international trade. The successful candidate will have strong practical knowledge of air cargo operations, freight documentation, customs procedures, dangerous goods awareness, cargo handling, and international logistics processes. This role is ideal for someone with industry experience who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and preparing students for real-world employment in the logistics and transportation sector. Key Responsibilities - Deliver classroom and/or online instruction in logistics, supply chain, and air freight-related courses. - Teach air cargo operations, freight forwarding procedures, shipping documentation, customs processes, and international transportation practices. - Prepare lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and practical case studies. - Explain key air freight concepts, including airway bills, cargo acceptance, routing, rate calculation, Incoterms, customs clearance, and security requirements. - Provide students with practical examples from the air cargo and freight forwarding industry. - Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback. - Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student progress records. - Support curriculum development and continuous program improvement. - Ensure course delivery aligns with institutional policies, learning outcomes, and applicable industry standards. - Promote a professional, safe, and respectful learning environment. Qualifications - Bachelor degree, or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Aviation, Transportation, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience in logistics, air freight, freight forwarding, airline cargo, customs brokerage, or supply chain operations. - Strong understanding of air cargo documentation, international shipping procedures, cargo handling, and customs requirements. - Teaching, training, or mentoring experience is preferred. - Knowledge of IATA cargo procedures, dangerous goods awareness, cargo security, and Incoterms is an asset. - Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills. - Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students with different learning backgrounds. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems is an asset. Preferred Experience - Experience working with freight forwarders, airlines, cargo terminals, customs brokers, or logistics companies. - Familiarity with air waybills, cargo manifests, HS codes, customs documents, commercial invoices, packing lists, and export/import procedures. - Previous post-secondary teaching experience. - Industry certifications such as CIFFA, IATA Cargo, FIATA, CITT, or similar credentials. Skills and Competencies - Strong industry knowledge in air freight logistics. - Professional classroom management skills. - Ability to connect theory with real-world logistics operations. - Detail-oriented and compliance-focused. - Solid interpersonal and student support skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of an academic team. Position Details & Benefits - Start Date: Sept 1, 2026 (or earlier). - Compensation: $3,000 CAD/month (tax obligations in home country are the candidate’s responsibility). - Work Schedule: Full Time - Accommodation: Free one-bedroom apartment - Medical: Free basic medical insurance. - Travel: One annual round-trip (China-home) airfare provided. - Meals: Estimated cost of $200 CAD/month.
