Construction Estimator (Maple Ridge)

Company Overview Frazer Excavation Ltd. is a civil contractor established in 1995 based in Maple Ridge, BC. We specialize in earthworks, underground utilities, road construction, onsite servicing, excavation and land clearing across commercial, industrial, residential, and municipal infrastructure projects. Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team . The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating bid submissions, and supporting project execution from tender through award. Responsibilities - Review plans, specifications, and tender/contract documents - Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs (hard copy and digital) - Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations - Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings - Liaise with clients to clarify scope and requirements - Prepare accurate cost estimates (lump sum and unit rate) - Present estimate details and risks to management - Prepare and submit tender packages and proposals - Provide project handoff documentation to operations teams - Requirements - Minimum 5 years of civil construction estimating experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) - Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Strong Math and computer skills - Ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients. - Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities - Valid Drivers License - Assets - Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid - Experience with Carlson Software - Civil Construction field experience - Background in civil design, drafting, inspection, or survey - What We Offer - Market-competitive salary based on experience - Full-time stable employement - Monday to Friday schedule (8-hour days) - Overtime opportunities - Extended health, dental & medical advantages (after 3 months) - Vision care - RRSP matching program - Company wellness program - Vacation Pay - Supportive team enviroment - Unmatched company culture with a supportive, team first enviroment Work Location Requirement Applicants must be able to reliably commute to our location within the Lower Mainland, BC before starting work.
