STATUS: Temporary Full time (Exempt) DEPARTMENT: Economic Development SALARY: $107,000 - $127,000 POSITION OVERVIEW: The Investment Attraction Advisor is a market-facing, business development focused role responsible for generating, managing, and advancing a robust pipeline of investment opportunities for the City of Maple Ridge. The primary focus of this position is investment attraction including lead generation, prospecting, inquiry response, proposal development, and direct B2B engagement with developers, investors, site selectors, and business decision-makers. The role spends the majority of its time proactively identifying and pursuing investment opportunities, promoting the Citys value proposition, and positioning Maple Ridge as a competitive, investment-ready location for residential, mixed-use, industrial, and employment-generating development. This includes building and maintaining a strong sales funnel, managing prospect pipelines, responding to investor inquiries, developing tailored proposals and opportunity packages, and conducting meetings, presentations, and site visits. The Investment Attraction Advisor works closely with the Citys internal departments, to support the transition of qualified prospects into active projects, ensuring a coordinated and seamless experience for investors as opportunities advance. This role is well-suited to a results-driven professional with strong sales, relationship management, and market development expertise, who is energized by outbound engagement, business development, and converting leads into tangible investment outcomes that support housing delivery, economic diversification, and job creation.
