Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Welder Apprentice Class "A" Pressure to join our manufacturing team. The role involves learning and applying various welding techniques and supporting assembly and fabrication tasks within a dynamic work environment. Duties - Assist experienced welders in performing MIG and TIG welding on pressure vessels, ductwork, and structural components - Support the setup and operation of plasma cutting and press brake machines - Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute fabrication tasks - Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments to ensure precision in assembly and fabrication - Support rigging operations and assist with crane handling of materials and equipment - Aid in machining processes as needed for component fabrication - Participate in the assembly of pressure systems and related components following safety procedures - Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times Requirements - Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in welding, fabrication, or construction trades - Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics is a plus - Ability to learn MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and other welding techniques under supervision - Understanding of blueprint reading and basic math skills for measurements and calculations - Knowledge of rigging, crane operation, machining, ductwork, assembly, and schematics is advantageous but not mandatory - Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment including forklifts and press brake machines - Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in a rapid-paced environment - Prior experience in manufacturing or construction is beneficial but not required; training will be provided This position is paid and offers valuable on-the-job training for those looking to build a career in welding and fabrication industries.
