**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** This hands-on Maintenance Technician role supports a growing manufacturing facility and is considered critical to sustaining plant operations. You will join a small, collaborative team and work closely with experienced technicians to ensure metal stamping presses, drilling machines, milling machines, and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic Millwright knowledge looking to develop their skills. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on metal stamping presses, drilling machines, and milling machines, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability. + Troubleshoot and service electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime. + Carry out routine building and facility maintenance tasks, including general service work to support safe and efficient operations. + Access rooftop areas as needed using scissor lifts to perform maintenance activities in accordance with safety procedures. + Document all maintenance activities clearly and accurately, maintaining records of work performed, parts used, and time spent. + Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate repairs, share status updates, and support production needs. + Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose and repair equipment. + Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures and other safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. + Use Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel to complete maintenance logs, communicate via email, and track work orders. + Handle physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, moving equipment, and working in an industrial environment. **Essential Skills** + 2–5 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance. + Proven experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on industrial equipment. + Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. + Basic knowledge of 12–480V electrical systems and safe electrical work practices. + Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting using schematics and technical documentation. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. + Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. + Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with the team. + Physically capable of heavy lifting and performing manual tasks in an industrial setting. + Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel for documentation and communication. + Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take ownership of assigned tasks. + Willingness to use and maintain personal tools (with potential for company supplementation after hire). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Own set of maintenance tools (company may supplement post-hire). + Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures and commitment to safe work practices. + Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment is an asset. + Ability to collaborate within a small team while also working independently when required. **Why Work Here?** You will join a rapidly growing organization operating from a large, modern facility with clear plans for continued expansion. You will work primarily on the day shift, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, providing a secure weekday schedule. The dress code includes safety-toe work boots (shoe or ankle high), jeans, and a T-shirt or sweater; shorts and tank tops are not permitted.
