Intermediate Dealership Accounting Administrator Thornhill

We are seeking an Experienced Intermediate Accounting Assistant to join our dealership accounting team. This role supports the Controller in managing accounting functions within our dealership group, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automotive dealership accounting, with hands-on experience in processing car deals, accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P). Key Responsibilities Commission and process new and used car deals, ensuring compliance with internal and manufacturer requirements. Maintain accurate and organized deal jackets and related documentation. Perform A/R functions, including posting customer payments, reconciling accounts, and managing outstanding balances. Manage A/P tasks such as vendor invoice entry, statement reconciliation, and payment processing. Collaborate with sales, service, and parts departments to resolve accounting discrepancies. Provide backup support for office and accounting functions as needed. Qualifications 2+ of experience in an automotive dealership accounting environment. Robust knowledge of A/R, A/P, and deal processing. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to meet tight deadlines in a quick-paced environment. Solid communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Experience working directly with Controller or Office Manager within a Canadian dealership.
