Trust Accountant (Part- time) (Maple Ridge)

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part time Trust Accountant, that knows the Trust accounting Law Society of British Columbia Rules. to join our Law Firm. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, particularly within trust and financial services environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing trust accounts, reconciling financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities - Manage and maintain trust accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Law Society of British Columbia. - Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliation and account analysis - Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions related to trust accounts - Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, and record-keeping - Conduct regular auditing of trust accounts to identify discrepancies or irregularities - Prepare financial reports and statements for review by senior management - Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities - Support payroll processing related to trust account transactions - Ensure proper documentation of all transactions and maintain organized records in accordance with company policies Qualifications - Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or trust accounting within a financial services environment - Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks. - Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation processes - Knowledge of corporate finance principles, auditing practices, and budgeting techniques - Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills - Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while managing multiple tasks effectively - MUST have 5 years plus of Trust Accounting experience Pay: From $50.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Maple Ridge, BC V2X 2V6 Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p66gs
