Description
Overview We are seeking multiple positions to join a growing cable assembly company for the Pro Audio and Entertainment Industries. The ideal candidates will have a basic knowledge of audio, video, data and power cables. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a calm environment where attention to detail is highly valued. Candidates must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and have an understanding of general manufacturing processes and be comfortable working with hand tools and power tools. Prep & Quality Control Responsibilities - Strip cable jacket following specs required for each different assembly. Dip / Tin cable leads prior to soldering - Check cable continuity using a computer and/or portable cable tester - Add identifiers or labeling, as required, following a build of material directions - Print cable packaging labels using a computer / printer - Package products ensuring a professional appearance Requirements - Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours, be comfortable operating and understanding computers. Be comfortable around an active solder pot and using cable cutters, strippers and picks. Ability to lift up to 20lbs. Soldering Responsibilities - Follow Build of Materials to ensure correct connectors are used on each assembly - Solder audio connectors to prepped copper cable - Solder resistors to cable leads - Strip cable jacket following specs required for each different assembly. Dip / Tin cable leads prior to soldering Requirements - Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours. Have the ability to use a solder iron for soft solder applications. Be comfortable around an active solder pot and using cable cutters, strippers and picks. Able to lift up to 20lbs. General Line Worker Responsibilities - Coil cable - Attach cable leads to connector terminals with hand tools - Strip data cables, crimp ends to terminate. - Terminate Video cables with crimping tools - Close terminated cable connectors - Carry cable spools to assembly section when needed Requirements - Be able to lift up to 50lbs, ability to sit up to 8 hours a day. Hand strength to be able to use hand tools for prolonged periods of time. Comfortable operating automated machinery. Warehouse / Shipper Responsibilities - Prepare and ship orders - Receive inbound shipments, replenish stock locations - Attach cable leads to connector terminals with hand tools - Close terminated cable connectors - Supply warehouse stock to assembly line Requirements - Be able to lift up to 50lbs, ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day. Must own/wear CSA approved safety shoes. Work in assembly when required. Be able to use hand tools. All positions are within a team workplace and will require member collaboration from time to time. Positions available are full-time Monday to Friday. For safety, all employees must be able to read, write and speak English.
