Landscaping Laborer (Markham)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong desire to contribute to the beautification and maintenance of various landscapes. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, including planting, watering, and caring for gardens and lawns. Duties - Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. - Irrigate plants and gardens effectively to ensure healthy growth. - Utilize hand tools and power tools for various landscaping projects, including digging, building, and maintaining garden beds. - Assist in the installation of new landscaping features such as trees, shrubs, and flowers. - Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing basic mechanical checks to ensure optimal performance. - Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. - Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling tools in the field. Qualifications - Previous experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is preferred but not required. - Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. - Strong mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues. - Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions. - Attention to detail with a commitment to quality work. - Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to landscaping.
