Production Support Technician (Milliken)

Job Description We are looking for an entry level Production Support Technician with 1-2 years of working experience in the digital signage or audio visual (AV) industry. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for staging, testing, and troubleshooting multimedia solutions as well as tracking and resolving support trouble tickets. This technician must have advanced AV knowledge, be able to work independently, and have strong attention to detail. Primary Responsibilities Duties would include but not limited to: - Configure, provision and test various digital signage hardware specified in production tickets (examples include screens, computers, switches, media players, routers etc.) - Stage, test and troubleshoot multimedia solutions at the ICON Media lab as well as on-site - Communicate solutions for production challenges with quality assurance - Analyze machinery and tools to report faults or broken items - Troubleshoot media players, displays, CMS platforms, connectivity issues, and playback errors - Able to lift 50lbs on occasion - Perform inventory product counts - Perform any related duties, or others as required Skills, Experience & Requirements - Prior experience in the digital signage field is an asset - Solid foundation in most recent Microsoft Windows OS - Positive understanding of network set-up, IP configuration and router configuration - Comfortable with using basic hand tools such as a hammer, wrench, screwdriver, etc. - Comfortable with heavy lifting and working at heights - Please note that ICON Digital requires a mandatory Criminal Background check prior to employment Key Competencies - Excellent teamwork, written and oral communication - Ability to work independently and in a team - Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - Proficient in effectively managing own time and schedule - Organized, reliable and pays strong attention to detail - Possesses a high tolerance for stress and the ability to remain calm under pressure - Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment ABOUT ICON ICON is a full-service organization with a 120,000 square foot state-of-the-art production facility based in Markham, Ontario.
