We’re looking for a field-based, hands-on Painting Production Coordinator to join our growing team. Position Overview In the painting and construction industry, “production” refers to the active execution of work on job sites, not office scheduling or administrative project management. This position is a field-based role responsible for directly managing painters, coordinating active projects, and ensuring jobs are delivered on time, on budget, and to Encore’s quality standards. The Painting Production Coordinator will report directly to our Managing Director, working closely with other production managers while also overseeing their own sites and crews in the field. This is a agile, fast-paced position that involves significant time on-site and frequent travel throughout the GTA. Role Transition / Fit Assessment The successful candidate may be required to work as a painter for an initial period before transitioning into the Production Coordinator role. This hands-on period is intended to help them understand Encore’s work, standards, systems, and team culture, while allowing both parties to confirm that the transition into the Production Coordinator role is the right fit. Key Responsibilities - Job Site Leadership: Run painting job sites from start to finish, managing painters directly and ensuring quality, safety, and timelines are met. - Team Coordination: Work under the Managing Director to support and coordinate other production managers and crews while managing your own production workload. - Daily Field Oversight: Be present on-site to troubleshoot issues, provide direction, ensure work aligns with scope, and maintain client satisfaction. - Client Communication: Act as the on-site point of contact by providing timely updates and answering client questions during production. Maintain timely electronic communication with clients by email and/or text, including pre-start updates before jobs begin and follow-up communication after jobs are completed. - Scheduling & Planning: Help coordinate crew schedules, materials, and resources needed for successful project execution. - Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate job site records, including progress updates, photos and change orders. - Marketing Support: Capture project photos and videos for marketing and portfolio purposes. Requirements - High school diploma required; post-secondary education in project coordination, construction management, or business is an asset. - Minimum 1 year of experience running job sites in painting, construction, or trades is preferred - Valid G-Class Ontario driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting ladders. - (Encore will provide a roof rack if needed.) - Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently, solve problems in the field, and adapt quickly. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and smartphone-based apps. (Jobber/CompanyCam/Connecteam) - Willingness to travel throughout the GTA (90%+ field time required). Compensation - Commission Structure: Base salary with the potential for performance-based commission once defined production/revenue thresholds have been achieved. - Performance-Based Growth: Opportunity to grow into an expanded role that may include sales responsibilities, based on performance, results, and business needs. - Company fuel card and oil change allowance provided.
