Become an essential part of Oak Valley Health as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Childbirth and Children’s Centre. This role focuses on maternal care and involves 12-hour shifts, day and night. The successful candidate will provide patient-centered care for mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods. Applicants should have excellent communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills, alongside a solid commitment to health and safety. This full time temporary position will last until approximately September 2024. Key Responsibilities: Provide care for mothers and newborns in antepartum/postpartum Promote patient/family-centered decision making Collaborate effectively within a healthcare team Maintain compliance with health and safety standards Deliver education and support to patients and families Requirements: Current registration with the College of Nurses Minimum one year maternal child experience Current neonatal resuscitation certification BCLS and Fetal Health Surveillance certifications Completion of breastfeeding course within three months Bring your critical thinking and compassion to make a difference in maternal care.
