Part-Time Instructor / Teacher (Math, English, Abacus, …, Greensborough

About the Role Best Brains is seeking an enthusiastic and trained part-time instructor to teach Abacus, Math, English, Coding, Science, or French in a structured classroom environment. The instructor will work with small groups of up to 5 students at a time and support students between the ages of 3–15 years old. This is an in-class position only. Responsibilities - Teach Math and English at the elementary level - Preferably teach Coding, French, Abacus, Science - Work with students aged 3–15 - Ability to support high school students is preferred - Instruct small groups (maximum 5 students per class) - Provide parents and administration with feedback on student progress - Attend staff meetings - Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment Requirements - Minimum 2 years prior teaching experience required - Solid communication skills - Energetic, enthusiastic, and patient personality - Reliable transportation to and from work - Willing to commit to a year-long program - Must reside in Markham, Ontario or surrounding areas (Candidates from other cities or countries will not be considered) Qualifications - Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) – Preferred - Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred - Exceptional high school students will be considered - Ability to teach Abacus, Coding, and/or French is highly preferred Schedule - 1–5 days per week - Monday–Thursday (between 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM) - Saturday (between 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Compensation - $20 – $40 per hour - Salary may increase based on performance Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week Benefits: - Casual dress - Flexible schedule - On-site parking - Store discount Education: - Secondary School (preferred) Experience: - Teaching: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) Certificate (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ogkqw
