Aquafit Instructor Opportunity In Markham

Make a difference in the Markham community as a part-time Aquafit Instructor. Lead engaging classes tailored to various ages and fitness levels at local pools, including Thornhill Community Centre. In this role, you will deliver cutting-edge aquatic fitness classes while ensuring a protected and encouraging environment. Your responsibilities will also include training participants, moderating sessions based on individual needs, and offering support that aligns with our commitment to inclusivity. While working under the Community Program Coordinator, you'll contribute to community fitness initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Organize and lead innovative group Aquafit classes • Monitor participant capabilities and adjust classes as needed • Complete required training and participate in meetings • Provide administrative support related to programs • Supervise volunteers as needed during classes Requirements: • Minimum age of 16 years at start of employment • Must have Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid • WaterART Fitness Instructor certification needed • Robust communication and customer service skills • Demonstrated leadership and safety protocol knowledge Promote healthy lifestyles through effective Aquafit instruction in a welcoming workplace in Markham.
