Project Manager Fireproofing Greater Toronto Area

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager specializing in Fireproofing to oversee and coordinate fireproofing projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Project Manager will collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to execute projects efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Lead and manage fireproofing projects from initiation through closeout Coordinate site superintendents, labour forces, and subcontractors Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports Liaise with clients, consultants, estimators, and inspectors Conduct site visits to monitor quality, safety, and project progress Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code, OHSA, and fire safety standards Proactively resolve project issues, risks, and scope changes Experience 3+ years of Project Management experience within the fireproofing industry Robust hands-on experience with fireproofing systems including intumescent, cementitious, or spray-applied systems Experience managing unionized labour environments Knowledge of Ontario construction regulations, OHSA, and fire codes Experience with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities Valid driver’s licence with ability to travel to project sites across Ontario PMP or related project management certification Experience within commercial, industrial, or ICI construction projects WHMIS, Working at Heights, and/or Gold Seal certification Familiarity with fire protection inspections and approvals processes This position offers the opportunity to join a growing and reputable organization with a robust project pipeline and long-term career growth potential.
