Night Auditor (Markham)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining guest records, and providing exceptional customer service during overnight hours. This role is vital in ensuring smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction through efficient front desk management and administrative duties. Multilingual or bilingual skills, along with solid phone etiquette and hospitality experience, are highly valued to enhance guest interactions and team communication. Responsibilities - Perform nightly audit procedures to verify and balance daily financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments - Manage front desk operations during overnight shifts, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries - Handle multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service to guests and vendors - Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation information as needed - Address guest concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience - Prepare reports on daily financial activities for management review - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence - Ensure the security of the hotel premises by monitoring access points and reporting any irregularities Requirements - Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred; experience at the front desk is a plus - Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor - Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities - Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is advantageous for serving diverse guests effectively - Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high attention to detail - Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and hotel management software preferred - Knowledge of guest services standards within the hospitality industry - Flexibility to work overnight shifts in a fast-paced environment This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our hospitality team by ensuring seamless overnight operations and delivering outstanding guest service.
