Housekeeping (Markham)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various facilities, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests or residents. This role is essential in providing exceptional service and supporting the overall operation of our hospitality or custodial services. Prior experience in cleaning, hotel housekeeping, or custodial work is highly valued. Responsibilities - Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces according to established standards - Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces to maintain cleanliness - Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties - Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals responsibly - Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use - Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed - Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of industrial cleaning supplies when applicable Experience - Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, retirement home, long term care home or industrial cleaning is preferred - Familiarity with hospitality standards and procedures is a plus - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate loads - Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety practices related to custodial work This role provides an excellent chance for individuals passionate about maintaining cleanliness standards in a skilled environment.
