Summer Camp Teacher Location: 1210 Castlemore Ave, Markham About Us International Montessori School (IMS), located in the heart of Markham, is dedicated to inspiring a lifelong love of learning through an authentic Montessori education. Position Overview We are currently seeking a passionate and creative Summer Camp Teacher (RECE, OCT or Montessori Trained) or Summer Camp assistants to join our team for July and August (Monday to Friday). This full-time seasonal role offers the possibility of transitioning into a full-time or part time position starting in September. Key Responsibilities Lead engaging arts and crafts activities aligned with weekly themes Design and implement age-appropriate activities centered around the camp themes Supervise and support children primarily aged 1.5 to 2.5 years old or 2.5 to 6 years Qualifications & Skills RECE, Montessori training, or Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) designation preferred Previous experience in a classroom or camp setting is a strong asset Passion for teaching, mentoring, and working with young children Strong communication and organizational skills Knowledge of Montessori principles is an asset Knowledge of Cantonese and/or Mandarin an Asset Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification Explicit Vulnerable Sector Check (required upon hire) Up-to-date health and immunization records including 2-step TB test, Tetanus, and MMR Job Type: Fixed term contract Contract length: 2 months Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Adaptable language requirement: French not required Application question(s): Are you a Canadian Citizen or a PR?
