QA Automation Architect (Markham)

Job Title: QA Automation Architect Location: Markham, Ontario Duration: 6 Months Introduction We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive and applied knowledge across a range of automated testing tools and frameworks. This individual will be an advocate and enabler of strong quality controls using industry-leading tooling and methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong advocate of quality controls (unit, integration, acceptance testing frameworks and methodologies) using industry-leading tooling (e.g., Junit, Webdriver.io). Applied knowledge of SAP offerings (S4, Commerce Cloud (Hybris), etc.). Ability to distill, author, and drive test automation strategies using best-in-class platforms and frameworks. Proven experience with CI/CD processes and building quality controls into each step of the SDLC; a shift-left evangelist. Experience with ITSM (ITIL v4) controls and processes. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, ContainerD, Kubernetes) and artifact tools (e.g., Artifactory, GCR, ACR, ECR). Understanding of REST, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture principles and best practices. Robust communication and presentation skills. Educated to a degree level in Computer Science or equivalent. Prior work experience in the client's industry. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of diagramming tools and methodologies (e.g., Miro, Diagrams.net, Figjam, Mermaid.JS). Experience with non-functional testing areas to ensure solution appropriateness. Ability to empathize with customers to drive testing strategies aligned to their needs. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Drive test automation strategies and implement best practices. Ensure quality controls are integrated into each step of the SDLC.
