Experienced Junior Production Manager – Event Operations Company: Opulent Event Designs Job Type: Full-Time / Seasonal Position Overview We are seeking an Experienced Junior Production Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of event production. This role bridges warehouse operations, logistics, and on-site execution to ensure events are delivered smoothly and to a high standard. The ideal candidate has hands-on event experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Key Responsibilities - Production & Logistics Coordination - Assist in planning event production schedules and logistics - Coordinate inventory, equipment, and décor requirements for events - Work closely with warehouse and coordination teams to ensure readiness - Team Leadership - Support and supervise setup and teardown crews - Delegate tasks and ensure team efficiency on-site and in the warehouse - Help maintain accountability and performance standards across staff - Event Execution - Oversee setup and teardown of décor installations - Ensure all production elements align with design plans and timelines - Troubleshoot issues in real time and provide solutions under pressure - Inventory & Quality Control - Conduct quality checks before and after events - Ensure all items are properly handled, maintained, and returned - Flag damages, missing items, or operational issues - Operational Support - Assist senior production managers with scheduling and planning - Help improve workflows and operational efficiency - Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards Requirements - 1–3+ years of experience in event production, logistics, or operations - Strong leadership and communication skills - Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts) - Comfortable in a rapid-paced, physically demanding environment - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs - Reliable transportation (required for various event locations) Assets (Nice to Have) - Experience in event décor or production environments - Familiarity with large-scale or multi-day events - Experience with South Asian / Desi weddings (complex timelines, multi-events) - Scissor lift certification (higher pay opportunities may apply) - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills What We’re Looking For - A hands-on leader who leads by example - Someone highly organized who can manage multiple moving parts - A problem-solver who stays calm under pressure - A team player who can motivate and direct crews effectively Why Join Us? - Work on high-end, large-scale events - Growth opportunity into a Senior Production Manager role - Dynamic, fast-paced environment - Strong team culture and hands-on leadership experience Job Types: Part time, Freelance, Seasonal Contract length: 5 months Pay: $18.00-$21.50 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Benefits: - Flexible schedule Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p0971
