This role is designed to develop future store leaders by providing hands-on experience across all aspects of store operations, team leadership, and customer engagement. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager and leadership team to learn the skills and knowledge needed to manage a Healthy Planet store successfully. Key Responsibilities Operational Support & Learning - Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth, efficient functioning. - Learn to monitor store systems including inventory, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment. - Support maintaining store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies and health regulations. Customer Service & Sales - Engage with customers to deliver excellent service and promote Healthy Planet’s wellness products. - Support sales promotions and merchandising efforts to drive store performance. - Learn to handle POS transactions and resolve customer inquiries or concerns professionally. Team Development - Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, and training under the guidance of the Store Manager. - Help foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages team growth and motivation. - Support employee performance tracking and coaching efforts. Administrative & Financial Tasks - Gain experience in store financial processes including cash handling, daily sales reporting, and bank deposits. - Assist in inventory ordering and receiving, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Participate in store meetings and reporting to develop leadership and communication skills. Compliance & Safety - Support adherence to all company policies including health & safety, anti-discrimination, and operational standards. - Learn to manage store security systems and loss prevention initiatives. Training and Development - Completion of required Lessonly training modules. - Ongoing participation in workshops and brand education sessions to stay current on wellness trends and company initiatives - Commitment to attendance, punctuality, team collaboration, and reliability. - Hands-on mentorship and coaching from experienced store leadership. Other Duties - Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements - 4-5 years experience in a similar role - Previous retail experience, ideally in a customer service or supervisory role. - Strong interest in retail operations and desire to grow into a management position. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Detail-oriented with good organizational and multitasking abilities. - Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work well both independently and within a team. - Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Basic computer skills and comfort with POS systems are a plus.
