Schedule The successful candidate will work 12‑hour shifts, days and nights (0730‑1930 and 1930‑0730). Schedules are subject to change based on operational needs. Compensation BAND CU10: $$ Contract Length Full Time Temporary (until approx. September 2024) Responsibilities As a Registered Practical Nurse in the Childbirth and Children’s Centre, you will be part of a health care team that promotes patient/family centered care and puts the patient at the center of the decision‑making process. You will provide care for mothers and their newborns in Antepartum and Postpartum. Qualifications - Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses. - Minimum one year experience in maternal child required. - Current neonatal resuscitation certification required. - Completion of Perinatal/Obstetrics course preferred. - Current Fetal Health Surveillance certification. - Current BCLS certification. - A breastfeeding course is required (or commitment to complete within 3 months of employment). Initiative - Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with ability to maintain standards. - Committed to a healthy and safe workplace for staff, patients, families, etc., by compliance with policies, health and safety legislation, best practices, and completing mandatory education. Proficiency - Completion of Medication Administration certification required. - RPNAO membership is preferred. - Excellent physical assessment skills. - Proficient computer skills.
