Overview We are seeking a skilled and versatile glazier/glass installer to join our glazing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in working labour trades jobs. Preference towards glass installation experience. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse glazing projects, from new commercial and residential construction to glass unit replacement services, utilizing a wide range of tools and techniques. The glazier will be responsible for executing detailed tasks with precision and professionalism, contributing to high-quality project outcomes. Aluminum/metal framing installations may also be required as scope of work performed to fit the glass. Responsibilities Lifting heavy glass with at least one other person. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently Perform construction tasks such as aluminum/metal framing to fit glass Conduct caulking and silicone applications to ensure stability, durability and weatherproofing of structures Assisting in reinstallation projects by repairing or reinstalling glass within existing structures Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working setting Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards Glass installations will include, interior glass partition walls, exterior thermal units/vestibules, shower enclosures, railings and more. Skills Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawing and site plans to identify locations of installs within the building Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation Ability to perform glass framework, glass installation, and silicone application with precision Familiarity with caulking techniques for finishing installations Ability to read technical schematics and elevation diagrams Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of construction work. This position requires a dedicated skilled capable of handling glass installations with care and efficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise across various areas of glass installations while maintaining safety standards.
