Toronto Job Construction Schedule Part time Employment Type Employee Job Posting May 21, 2026 Purpose We are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector I. This part‑time position is based in Markham,
Ontario. The Site Quality Inspector provides field‑based Quality Assurance support during construction, focusing on site presence, field inspections, and working directly with contractor QC teams to ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved requirements. Responsibilities Field Inspections & Surveillance - Perform field inspections and surveillance of civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation activities. - Verify work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and ITPs. - Witness selected hold and witness points as defined by the QA plan. - Identify quality issues early and work with contractor QC to address them before work is closed or covered. Contractor Engagement - Work directly with contractor QC teams to support consistent application of quality requirements. - Verify that inspections and tests are being performed as planned. - Raise and elevate quality concerns when workmanship or process deficiencies are observed. NCR & Corrective Action Support - Support review of NCRs and corrective actions. - Verify corrective actions have been implemented effectively in the field. - Identify recurring issues and quality trends. Documentation & Turnover Support - Review ITRs, test packs, and quality documentation for completeness and alignment with field conditions. - Support progressive system walk‑downs. - Support readiness activities for Mechanical Completion, RFO, and PSSR. General - Support audits and regulatory inspections as required. - Maintain clear field observation and QA records. What you will bring: Technical and Industry Experience - Minimum 6 years industrial construction experience. - Strong background in mechanical, piping, or E&I;, with multi‑discipline field exposure. - Familiar with ITPs, NCRs, construction turnover, and system completion. Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Required: A bachelor’s degree is required. Pay and Salary Information (Ontario) Salary range: $57K to $67K CAD. Variation in salary is determined by candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions.
