About the Role We’re looking for a creative and culturally fluent Part‑Time Social Media Specialist to join our team in
Toronto. In this role you will own the RedNote presence end‑to‑end, from strategy and content creation to community engagement and trend‑spotting, with a specific focus on reaching and resonating with the Asian community in
Canada. This is a role for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands the nuances of the Asian‑Canadian experience, and can quickly create content that feels native to the platform and authentic to the audience. Key Responsibilities - Design and produce “scroll‑stopping” static notes and short‑form videos tailored for RedNote’s food, beauty, and lifestyle niches. - Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, CapCut) to brainstorm hooks, generate visuals, and accelerate your editing workflow. - Translate our brand identity into the native RedNote language, balancing professional quality with the platform’s signature vlog‑style intimacy. - Manage the publishing calendar, optimizing for high‑traffic windows and keyword SEO within the RedNote algorithm. - Be the voice of our brand in comments and DMs—build relationships and foster community trust. - Track metrics to turn raw data into actionable content pivots. - Stay ahead of RedNote trends, viral formats, hashtags, and content styles—and proactively integrate them into the content calendar. - Monitor what resonates with Asian‑Canadian audiences, including cultural moments, holidays, community conversations, and consumer sentiments. - Research and benchmark competitor accounts and top‑performing creators in relevant niches. Must‑Have Qualifications - Hands‑on experience managing a RedNote account, either professionally or as a content creator. - Proven ability to produce both static and video content, from concept through to publication. - Proficiency in CapCut and familiarity with other editing tools (Adobe Premiere, InShot, Canva). - Experience using AI tools for content generation, ideation, or editing (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway). - Deep, lived understanding of the Asian community in Canada, its cultural values, daily pain points, spending habits, and aspirations. - Fluency in both Mandarin/Cantonese and English, written and spoken. - Solid eye for aesthetics; understands what makes content scroll‑stopping on RedNote. - Self‑starter who can manage their own time and hit deadlines with minimal oversight. Nice‑to‑Have - Existing RedNote following or creator profile in food, beauty, or home categories. - Familiarity with other social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, WeChat) to support cross‑platform alignment. - Background in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field. Compensation - CAD $24-29 per hour. - 20 hours per work. - Onsite requirements.
