Agriculture Extension Officer, Greater Toronto Area

This is a full-time on-site role for an Agriculture Extension Officer, based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. In this role, the officer will work with farmers and agricultural stakeholders to provide advice, training, and support on best practices, including soil management, crop production, and livestock care. Key responsibilities involve conducting educational outreach, developing customized agricultural programs, and implementing sustainable practices. The role will also include monitoring agricultural activities, ensuring compliance with local guidelines, and fostering knowledge-sharing initiatives to drive growth in the community.

• Knowledge of Soil Science and Agriculture practices
• Experience in Livestock management
• Skills in Curriculum Development and Education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to analyze agricultural data and provide actionable insights
• A degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred
• Experience in agricultural extension or outreach is an asset
