Senior Manager, Data Science (Greater Toronto Area)

Your New Role As the Senior Manager, Data Science , you will lead the design, validation, and application of advanced analytics methodologies across a diverse portfolio of data products. You will be accountable for ensuring the statistical rigor, accuracy, and reliability of outputs while driving innovation through machine learning, AI, and hybrid data science approaches. You will lead and mentor a high-performing Data Science team, while collaborating cross-functionally with Research, Product, Technology, and Operations. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, requiring both hands-on analytical oversight and strategic direction. Key responsibilities include - Ensuring the quality and statistical rigor of data products, including weighting, calibration, fusion, and attribution methodologies - Leading continuous improvement of analytical processes and expanding the use of advanced data science and AI techniques - Reviewing and validating statistical models and machine learning solutions (internal and external) to ensure methodological integrity - Driving the development of new and hybrid analytical approaches leveraging diverse internal and external data sources - Overseeing advanced analytics outputs, including modeling, simulations, and business-facing insights - Supporting enterprise-wide automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency - Building strong partnerships across Data Science, Product, Technology, and Operations teams What You’ll Need to Succeed Education & Certifications - Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field - Accreditation in statistics or advanced data science certifications are considered a strong asset Skills & Experience - 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership or advanced analytics role - Deep expertise in both theoretical and applied statistics (sampling, modeling, forecasting) - Strong experience with advanced analytics, data integration, machine learning, and AI methodologies - Exposure to NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), and synthetic population frameworks is an asset - Advanced proficiency in Python, R, or other statistical/data science tools - Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, with the ability to mentor and develop teams - Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills What You’ll Get in Return - Opportunity to lead a high-impact Data Science function within a data-driven organization - Exposure to cutting-edge analytics, AI, and large-scale data innovation initiatives - A collaborative, cross-functional environment with strong executive visibility - Competitive compensation package aligned to senior leadership roles - Career growth in a strategically critical function What You Need to Do Now If you’re interested in this prospect, click “Apply” or reach out directly for a confidential discussion.
