Roofer Helper (Greater Toronto Area)

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to join our construction team. Responsibilities - Assist roofers with installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools - Handle heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and metal panels - Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment - Use hand tools including hammers, drills, and caulking guns to complete tasks accurately - Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to support roofing projects - Perform basic carpentry tasks related to roofing projects - Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs - Maintain a clean and safe work setting by organizing tools and debris removal - Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries Requirements - Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or carpentry is preferred but not required; training will be provided - Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently - Basic understanding of blueprint reading is a plus - Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in roofing and construction trades - Handyman experience is advantageous but not mandatory - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions - Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred - Physical stamina to stand, climb ladders, and perform manual labor throughout the workday Pay: $20.89-$42.28 per hour Benefits - Flexible schedule Work Location: On the road Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pavm3
