Roofer Helper (Greater Toronto Area)

Overview We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to assist our roofing team with various construction and installation tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the roofing and construction industry while working alongside skilled professionals. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, and eager to learn new skills in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities - Assist roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings - Carry and organize roofing materials, tools, and equipment at job sites - Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and utility knives to support roofing tasks - Help with heavy lifting of materials like shingles, plywood, and metal panels - Prepare work areas by setting up safety barriers and staging materials - Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment - Support carpentry tasks including cutting and fitting materials as needed - Assist with caulking and sealing joints to ensure waterproofing integrity - Read and interpret blueprints or project plans under supervision - Perform general handyman duties related to roofing projects as required Skills - Experience using hand tools common in construction and roofing work - Basic understanding of construction principles and carpentry techniques - Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently - Familiarity with blueprint reading is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential - Prior handyman or construction experience is advantageous - Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety standards - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions - Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately Pay: $20.89-$42.28 per hour Benefits - Flexible schedule Work Location: On the road Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pavme
