GTA, ON Summary Reporting to the Director, Pre-Construction or appointed designate, the Project Manager, Pre-Construction plays an essential role in project procurement and execution of our design build and strategic projects located in
Ontario. This dynamic role is focused on managing, coordinating, and completing deliverables for project pursuits in support of new work and advancing early work of alternative delivery contracts. The Project Manager, Pre-Construction will manage the preparation of Request for Qualification (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents and be responsible for delivering project pursuits by actively engaging with design consultants, schedulers, construction operations teams, and estimators. Primary Scope Of Role Review design build and alternative delivery contract documents and prepare RFQ and RFP proposal submissions to obtain new business Manage, coordinate, and liaise with design consultants, schedulers, construction management / operations personnel, engineers, and estimators Organize and chair regular meetings with pursuit participants to ensure pursuit schedule is achieved Oversee the collection and organization of information from various sources and sharing and communicating with relevant participants Prepare written correspondence to the Owner Prepare technical content for proposal submissions and presentations Participate in the preparation and evaluation of potential risk items Participate in the preparation and evaluation of purchase orders and subcontract agreements The successful candidate will have an opportunity to advance awarded projects through detailed design and construction phases of the work Position Requirements Completed a post-secondary school education in Civil
Engineering or Construction Management disciplines, or acceptable combination of education and previous experience 5-7 years construction experience, civil/highway infrastructure preferred Proficient in software related to construction industry (e.g. Primavera Scheduling software, InEight estimating software, AutoCAD, etc.). Excellent communication skills including the ability to read and understand contract documents and technical background information and prepare written proposals in response to project pursuits Ability to interpret contract documents and communicate effectively to pursuit participants Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, etc.) What We Offer Expected Base Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations. Annual performance-based bonus.
