Role Description This is a full time, on-site Line Cook role based at The National Golf Club of Canada in the Greater Toronto Area. The Line Cook will prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality for members and guests. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down stations, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following all food safety and sanitation procedures. The Line Cook will assist with prep work, manage orders during service, coordinate timing with other kitchen team members, and support special events or banquets as required. The role also involves receiving and storing deliveries, minimizing waste, and collaborating with the culinary team to maintain a high standard of dining in line with the club’s reputation. Qualifications - Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or private club environment. - Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food preparation methods. - Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and safe food-handling practices (Food Handler certification an asset). - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen while maintaining high quality and attention to detail. - Strong time-management, multitasking, and communication skills, with a focus on reliability and professionalism. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required. - Culinary education, apprenticeship, or Red Seal certification considered an asset. - Interest in golf club or hospitality environments and a commitment to delivering an elevated member dining experience.
