Insurance Billing Representative (Markham)

What is in it for you: - Hourly salary of $19.15. - 9-month contract. - Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week. - Rotating shifts within call centre hours. - Availability for evening and Saturday shifts is required. - Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. - Saturday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. - Hybrid: 2-3 days/week in Markham office. Responsibilities: - Provide excellent customer service to Licensed Insurance Advisors, Contact Centre staff, Insurance Branch staff, and customers. - Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with insurance partners and underwriters. - Support inbound billing inquiries as a representative of the organization. - Communicate clearly, effectively, and empathetically with customers through telephone and email interactions. - Identify customer needs and respond appropriately and professionally. - Gather relevant information in a systematic manner to ensure seamless customer interactions. - Take ownership of customer inquiries and maintain a strong commitment to resolution and follow-up. - Handle approximately 50 inbound calls per day. What you will need to succeed: - 1-2 years of experience in a contact centre environment, preferably within the insurance or banking industry. - Ability to multitask in a quick-paced environment. - Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. - Professional telephone and email communication skills and etiquette. - Proficiency with word processing software, Microsoft Excel, and web-based Windows applications. - Solid communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve customer concerns. - Strong attendance and punctuality record. - Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
