Financial Controller (Greater Toronto Area)

- Financial Reporting: Lead weekly and monthly financial reporting, including cash flow forecasting and P&L; analysis. - Risk & Budgeting: Create and maintain a robust set of controls and budgets to forecast and mitigate financial risks; highlight risks and opportunities in weekly reports. - Team Leadership: Oversee the accounting team to ensure all AR, AP, and payroll are processed accurately and efficiently. - Operational Metrics: Recommend and implement operating metrics and benchmarks to measure company performance. - Cost Accounting: Create and manage a system to measure costs and profitability by specific job and product line. - Strategic Planning: Assist in establishing company targets, employee KPIs, and bonus structures. - Compliance: Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Requirements - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. - Certification: CPA (CA or CMA) designation is required. - Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on preparation of financial statements and budgets. - Industry: Proven experience within the manufacturing sector is required. - Software: Highly proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive). - Bonus: Experience with implementing an ERP system is a strong asset.
