Commercial Painter (Interior & Exterior) Company: The TPH Group Inc. Location: GTA and surrounding area Compensation: $30–$35 per hour + incentive bonuses About the Role We are seeking a skilled Commercial Painter with a track record of delivering quality work on both interior and exterior projects. You will work on commercial buildings—offices, schools, retail facilities and more—ensuring surfaces are properly prepared, painted, protected and finished to the highest standards. If you have the physical stamina, attention to detail and knowledge of various painting tools and coatings required for large‑scale jobs, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities - Surface Preparation: Sand, scrape, patch and prime walls or other surfaces before painting, using techniques such as power washing or hand sanding. - Application: Apply paints, stains and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment. - Surface Protection: Cover adjacent areas with masking tape, plastic sheeting or drop cloths to protect non‑painted surfaces. - Repairs & Maintenance: Fill cracks, caulk joints, remove old finishes and apply sealants to prolong the life of surfaces. - Tool Care: Clean and maintain brushes, sprayers and other equipment to ensure consistent quality. - Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE while working on site. - Team Collaboration: Work efficiently with supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines. Qualifications - Several years of proven experience as a commercial painter, including interior and exterior work. - Proficiency with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment; knowledge of specialty coatings and surface preparation techniques. - Familiarity with scaffolding, lifts or high‑reach equipment; comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. - Strong attention to detail and excellent time‑management skills. - Ability to follow safety procedures and wear PPE as needed. - Certificates including WHMIS, Work at Heights, Health & Safety in 4-steps and Elevated Mobile Work Platform (lifts & booms) - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are assets.
