Baker - Early Morning - Full-time (Markham)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Baker to join our team for early morning, full-time shifts. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about baking and food preparation, with a focus on creating high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our bakery produces fresh, delicious products daily, adhering to food safety standards and customer expectations. Duties - Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes - Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and creativity, utilizing cake decorating skills - Follow recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure product quality and hygiene - Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and packaging machines - Package baked items efficiently for sale or delivery while maintaining presentation standards - Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area, including cleaning utensils and work surfaces - Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredients and supplies - Support other kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed - Ensure all products meet quality standards before presentation or sale Skills - Proven experience in baking, with knowledge of various baking techniques and recipes - Strong cake decorating skills for creating visually appealing products - Background in restaurant or food industry environments is preferred - Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations - Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently - Excellent customer service skills when interacting with customers or team members - Experience in food preparation, cooking, packaging, and general kitchen operations - Attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality of baked goods - Ability to work early mornings consistently in a fast-paced setting This position offers an exciting opportunity for passionate bakers to contribute their skills to a dynamic team dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.
