Wild Wing - Server/Bartender (Markham)

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties - Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS - Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and provide recommendations when needed - Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities - Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety standards - Ensure responsible serving of alcohol by monitoring guest consumption and adhering to legal requirements - Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts - Assist in food service when required, including serving food items and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed - Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple guests promptly while maintaining quality service - Uphold food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times Qualifications - Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates - Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus - Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously - Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours - Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating tabs accurately - Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures - Ability to serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal regulations - Hospitality experience is advantageous but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential This position offers an engaging work environment where your hospitality skills can shine.
