RPNs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication. RPNs implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plans and make changes as required. RPNs complete and ensure resident’s clinical care assessments, care plans and documentation are accurate, up to date and communicate changes as required. RPNs teach, delegate and direct unregulated care providers, providing them with coaching & mentorship. What YOU bring Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset Solid drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships Solid written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills Demonstrated organizational and time management skillsComputer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applications Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one How we recognize YOU Service recognition Employee appreciation events An open and engaging team that welcomes input for current ideas and programs Cogir is committed to ensuring that all employment practices are inclusive.
