Position Overview We are seeking a creative, organized, and driven Marketing & Events Coordinator Volunteer to help grow awareness of our programs, increase community engagement, and support the planning and promotion of workshops, events, fundraising initiatives, and community programs. This role is ideal for individuals interested in marketing, communications, social media, event planning, public relations, nonprofit leadership, business development, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities: Marketing & Communications - Assist in developing marketing campaigns to promote programs and events. - Create and schedule social media content. - Develop engaging written content for: - Social media - Newsletters - Website updates - Community announcements - Promotional materials - Help maintain brand consistency across platforms. - Assist with email marketing campaigns. - Research marketing trends and community outreach opportunities. Digital Marketing - Support content creation for: - Facebook - Instagram - LinkedIn - YouTube - Website blogs - Assist with SEO and website content updates. - Track engagement and campaign performance. - Help create graphics, videos, and promotional materials. - Support online community growth and audience engagement. Traditional Marketing & Community Promotion - Assist in developing partnerships with local organizations and businesses. - Coordinate distribution of promotional materials. - Support community outreach initiatives. - Identify opportunities for media exposure and community awareness. Event Planning & Coordination - Assist in organizing: - Workshops - Community events - Fundraising initiatives - Wellness programs - Educational seminars - Networking events - Coordinate event logistics and timelines. - Support volunteer coordination during events. - Assist with event registration and attendee communications. - Help create event marketing materials and promotional campaigns. Qualifications We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Preferred qualifications include: - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Creative and proactive mindset. - Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, event planning, nonprofit work, or community development. - Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. - Familiarity with social media platforms. - Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Wix, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools is an asset but not required.
