Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Skilled Chef to lead culinary operations in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service to guests. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence and innovation. Duties - Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards - Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management - Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations - Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area - Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences - Ensure timely service while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency - Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality - Monitor food costs and assist in budgeting efforts to optimize profitability - Uphold food safety standards in accordance with health regulations Skills - Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management - Supervising experience with team management skills - Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards - Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation - Excellent culinary skills across various cuisines and techniques - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Effective communication skills for coordinating with staff and guests - Knowledge of the food industry trends and hospitality best practices - Experience in restaurant experience, kitchen operations, and food service excellence - Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction Pay: $17.20-$35.72 per hour Benefits: - Casual dress - Flexible schedule - On-site parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p6h15
