Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications of tools, dies, prototypes or models Prepare templates and sketches, and determine work processes Compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machiningSet up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools to cut, turn, mill, plane, drill, bore or grind Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM) and electronic measuring devicesFit and assemble or disassemble parts using hand tools Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum 5+ years of experience in a tooling Maintenance position is required Direct experience in a welding/stamping facility is preferred Ability to use hand tools and operate tool room machines Ability to read engineering drawings and knowledge of GD&T; Ability to adapt to changes quickly in a fast-paced environment both within a team or independently Certifications: Licensed Tool and Die Maker Certificate Ontario/Red Seal (430A) is preferred Randstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
