In this position, you will utilize your strong clinical, patient teaching and communication skills in this fast-paced environment where our focus is on patient/family centered care and customer satisfaction.What you bring to the role:Current Certificate of Registration with the College of NursesCurrent BLSRecent RPN experience in an Emergency Department requiredCompletion of an accredited college Coronary Care 1 program or proof of demonstrated current enrollment or equivalent required, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hirePrevious experience in a fracture/plastic clinic is an assetPrevious experience in patient education, suture removal, dressing changes and assisting with minor procedures; Td immunizations is an assetMedication CertificateRPNAO membership is preferredExcellent physical assessment skillsProficient computer skillsDemonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environmentDemonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional teamWell developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skillsEvidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experienceDemonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredWork Schedule:The successful candidate must be available to work 8 and 12 hour shifts.
