You will practice in an environment where the emphasis is on activation, professional practice and customer satisfaction.Using your clinical expertise, you will, in collaboration with the team, be responsible for comprehensive assessment, care planning, patient education and discharge planning to support the continuity of care throughout the patient's stay on the inpatient unit.What You Bring To The Role* Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses* Current BLS certification* Minimum of 2&3 years related experience in a Medical/Long term Care environment with evidence of well developed clinical skills. Previous palliative care experience is an asset* Completion of Gentle Persuasion is an asset* Excellent physical assessment skills; completion of a physical assessment course will be considered a strong asset* Experience in IV Therapy* Working knowledge of computer technology* Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environment* Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently* Well developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills* Demonstrated good and performance and attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard* Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredWork Schedule12 hour shifts - 0730-1930&1930-0730 weekend and statutory holidaysPlease note schedules may change due to operational needs.### CompensationCU10Range$37.64 - $39.02Who We AreOak Valley Health is one of
