Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen line cook to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, hospitality, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or food handling environments is a plus but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced culinary setting. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks under supervision Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and sanitizing equipment Support food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met Help with organizing supplies and ingredients for effective kitchen operations Assist with serving food to customers or guests as needed Ensure proper storage of food items and dispose of waste appropriately Support the team during busy service times by performing various kitchen duties as assigned Requirements Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintaining sanitation standards in a kitchen setting Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling protocols Strong work ethic with attention to detail and organization skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality standards Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required A positive attitude and willingness to learn current skills related to hospitality and food service Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pmn9o
