Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes through various horticultural and construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, landscape maintenance, and outdoor work, with a solid focus on quality and safety. This position offers opportunities for hands-on experience with a variety of tools and equipment, contributing to the beautification of residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation and landscaping projects Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, and other landscaping activities Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, pathways, or garden beds Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance Follow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications Experience Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or related outdoor work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Mechanical knowledge is a plus for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques and construction practices is advantageous Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators confidently and safely Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticultural principles, and general gardening practices will be beneficial Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions Valid driver’s license is preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour Perks: Company car In office parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pndcm
